"Libraries of controls for the reproduction of sounds"
Direct Sound and Direct Music are two of the many components that make up DirectX. Both are used to play music and other sounds, basically in WAV format. Direct Music is in charge of synthesizing the sounds, while Direct Sound is in charge of reproducing them, that is, making them sound.
DirectSound/DirectMusic OCX 2.5 provides you with a series of controls to control the reproduction of sounds on the different channels and from both components.
OCX has a complete suite of developer tools that are fully compatible with these sound drivers
Its use is compatible with programs designed in Visual Basic, C++, including those with ActiveX controls.
